Hi, everyone — I’m Natalie! Welcome to Making It Up As I Glow (if you want the ~warmest welcome possible~, head over to my “Welcome!” post)!

A little bit about my background: I’m a self-proclaimed beauty enthusiast with years of blog-reading and YouTube-watching under my belt. My passion for makeup and skincare began in middle school as I tried tirelessly to cure my acne with toothpaste and Visine (would not recommend either). I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning watching beauty bloggers pat in moisturizers and perfect their winged liners, and I desperately wanted to try my hand at it. I eventually convinced my mom to take me to Walgreens to get some products (probably some Eucerin moisturizers and BabyLips), and thus, a ~product luver~ was born.

As I grew older, I realized that the tutorials I was watching rarely worked for me, because I am a redhead (ginger) with fluorescent blonde eyelashes and eyebrows. Therefore, if I only apply mascara, it looks like my eyelashes are kind of these floating black particles in space…not my personal fav look. After discovering that I would need to conduct some experiments to find what worked for me, I got even more into beauty and skincare.

Fast-forward to now. I’m studying Drama and Psychology in school and pursuing a career in acting. However, I still find myself incredibly passionate about beauty, and I figured that I spend so much time reading blogs, maybe I should write my own…so here I am! Welcome to the blog — I hope you enjoy!
