RMS “Haul”

I am so excited that my first official post gets to be about RMS, a brand I’ve been wanting to try foreverrrrr. For those of you who don’t know, RMS is an incredibly clean makeup brand that I’m pretty sure exclusively very, very hot people wear. I read IntoTheGloss religiously, and I feel like literally every top shelf includes an RMS product. Obviously, I too want to be very, very hot, so I’ve been wanting to try RMS for a loooong time. Unfortunately, I do not get sent things for free because I am not famous, so my “haul” consists of two products (I did test a lot of the others in the store, though…).

When I went into Blue Mercury to get some products, I really wanted the Lip2Cheek product in Modest. However, when I tried it in the store, it was so dry in the pot and packed such little pigment that I was a little turned off (though…I’ll probably try to get it next time). Of course, testers are always a little dry so I was going to still give it a chance (and again, I am happy to be proven wrong), but all of the the shades of the Lip2Cheek pots were dry, so I began trying other products. 🙁

That is when I found the luminizers. I wasn’t really in the market for a highlight because I really like my Benefit Girl Meets Pearl highlight (I use it everyday and it is so pretty) and I also just got the Nude Stix Magnetic Nude Glimmer in 99% angel which I also really like so far. However, this summer I’ve really decided that I want my skin to look WET. Sure, dewy, but also just like full-on wet. In the summer, my skin naturally looks like an oil slick and I’ve decided for this summer, why work against it (we’ll see how long this attitude lasts)!

So when I swatched the RMS Luminizer in Rosé Champagne I was stoked. This product looks like…*sparkly water* (in a very, very good way). It is INCREDIBLE. I have yet to find another product that achieves this same level of dewiness. Even better, it is not specifically a highlight so you can really use it anywhere. The night I got it, I used it on my cheekbones, bridge of nose, and Cupid’s Bow (normal highlight spots) but I also put it all over my eyelids and they looked so COOL. I went to a fancy, dimly lit dinner that night and all my friends said I was GLOWING even in the dark room. Biggggg A+ for this luminizer!!!

The other product I bought was the Lip Shine in Sacred. I have been SEARCHING for a good, pigmented lip balm/oil: not a lipstick, not a lip stain, not a gloss. I wanted something that screamed, “I just ate a cherry popsicle, and it’s summer — also, I’m cute and fun” while still hydrating and shining. And let me tell you, this lip balm is IT. The color is so buildable and beautiful — definitely that popsicle stain vibe. It is a bit sheer when you first put it on, but you can really make it as intense as you want. PERFECT summer shade! Big luv for that lip shine!

How do you guys like the RMS products? What should I try next?! Let me know in the comments! I’m also very new to this blogging thing so I’m super open to any advice or validation <3
